“ Folks were friendly, food was reasonably priced, and everything tasted delicious. The chicken was so tender, I probably could have cut it with nothing but a stern look lol. Be sure to get the black beans! Excellent spot for lunch, I'll definitely be back. ”
“ I arrived at 1pm on a Wednesday. The parking lot was almost full but I was still able to find a spot just a short walk from the door. I was seated immediately and had a server take my drink order within a few minutes. The food came out quickly and was full of flavor and freshness. I ordered the black bean nachos with chicken and extra tomatoes. These are my favorite nachos in all of Nashville. They satisfy every time. If you can, eat at the restaurant so you get the full effect of just how fresh and tasty the ingredients are. I also recommend checking out the menu online before going because there are so many unique, tasty options to choose from. Tables were quickly cleaned and the floor was well kept too. 10/10 I recommend. ”

“ Very good place for a quick lunch. Caribbean food done healthy. Best thing and specialty is their rotisserie chicken. I like the jerk sauce, it's not as hot as it sounds. Bean and corn salad, mustard greens, and black beans are my favorite sides. As a back up the island burger is also delicious. As well as the loaded nachos and salads. You really can't go wrong here. If you can, go for a later lunch so you can get parking in the lot. ”

Their staff is really great at what they do along with getting the food to your table in a good amount of time. The atmosphere feels like you’re in the Caribbean and the music is really laid back and chill. You get more bang for your buck on your food. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to get away from the drive thru and fast food places. ”

Staff has always been pleasant, service quick and good always fresh. I love their Tuna salad, Cole slaw & sweet potatoes, but my new favorite is the black bean Nachos with beef... It turns lunchtime into a party And I have to say Calypso has the most appealing, clean, fresh, SEEDED lemons I've ever seen. ”
